Location - Santa Cruz, Ca 

5 minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in the country

World famous surfing, tide pooling, bicycle/walking trails, Seymour Marine center, Natural Bridges State Park

Walk to bakeries, breweries and all west side Santa Cruz has to offer, bike to downtown Santa Cruz (great restaurants/entertainment) and the Beach Boardwalk

 

Site description

35’ level site with a gravel base

Overlooks Antonelli’s pond

There is no electricity or sewer hook-up

We pay dump fees, mileage and fuel for generator

No set schedule

Birds, birds, birds!

No campground

Dog friendly - private property so leash free OK

Visitors are mostly birdwatchers, fishers, dog walkers and young families

Can’t beat the location - urban services in a nature setting. 

All the homes in this area are 2 million +

Great cell service

 

Negatives

No wifi or computer access (lots of coffee shops though)

Moving RV or portable receptacle to dump tanks (nearest dump station 10 miles)

 

 

Job description

20 hrs/week commitment

Walk the circumference of the pond morning and evening

Pick up litter, dog waste, refresh brochures and waste bags, take trash in/out on trash days

Light vegetation clearing and trail maintenance

Interacting with the public

Late model generator with sufficient battery storage - solar panels will work here

Composting toilet a plus
